BLG Group, the world’s leading professional hydrocolloids manufacturer and service provider, has announced that its fourth factory plant in Ningxia will be up and running in August this year. The new plant will support more product lines, make the supply chain more distributed and reliable, and empower BLG to be the one-stop-shop for hydrocolloids products.
Spanning 15 hectares, the construction of the first phase of the plant started in 2021. The new plant will produce curdlan, gellan, xanthan and other fermented polysaccharides. Additionally, it will take over the production of plant polysaccharides such as Iota refined carrageenan and konjac gum from the Zhejiang plant. With the support of this new factory, BLG Group can provide the markets with nearly 10 different types of hydrocolloids, such as refined and semi-refined Kappa and Iota carrageenan, konjac gum, agar-agar, curdlan gum, gellan gum, and xanthan gum, meet the growing demand for hydrocolloids in various end products, and empower the growth of several industries including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and personal care.
The establishment of Ningxia plant is another significant strategic investment of BLG Group after the expansion of the product lines of carrageenan, konjac gum, agar-agar and seaweed fiber.
With the completion of the new plant, BLG group will further expand its production, delivery, and innovation capabilities. It aims to be a leading global manufacturer and service provider of all hydrocolloids-related products, and continue creating value for customers, partners, employees and other stakeholders.
